As my second option for my Aice Media opening film, my partner and I decided that another genre we are interested in is a Musical. Musicals typically have a broad spectrum audience, ranging from families, teens and adults. A convention of musicals is where characters break into song and dance to express characters emotions. Musicals usually use a lot of long takes and shots to film the characters full body while dancing. Musicals typically use high key lighting and bright colors. Their marketing also relies heavily on its songs. Two of my favorite musicals are La La Land and The Greatest Showman.
